Examination Clashes

Students with Examination Clashes or 3 Examinations in one Calendar Day

Students shall not be required to take more than two (2) examinations, or any other assessment activity whether centrally administered or not, on the same day.

A student with 3 or more examinations scheduled on 1 calendar day may elect to sit one of the examinations at a time prior to the official scheduled time, upon consultation and approval from their School.

It is not considered a clash examination if for example a student has 2 examinations in the afternoon of 1 day and another examination in the morning of the next day.

If a student finds examination clashes in the Draft timetable, they should await the publication of the Final timetable before reporting these clashes as amendments to the Draft timetable may affect the examinations that have clashed.

If a student has an examination clash after the publication of the final timetable, a clash form (also available from the School or Student Central) is to be completed by the student, authorised by the School and forwarded to the Examination Office in Building 101 for appropriate alternative examination arrangements to be made.

The deadline for the submission of the authorised clash form to the Examinations Office is two weeks prior to the commencement of the Centrally Scheduled examination period.
